After
setting out to create a plea for fathers everywhere to understand and
shoulder their responsibility as a unique figure in the lives of
children, J. Michael Jocelyn penned a series of 29 poems that will be
presented as a collection called Disappearing
Fathers: Tears of Little Angels. By
exploring a serious reflection that looks inwards, towards his
surroundings, and to the African-American community at large, he has
created a work that is spiritually potent, relevant for our times,
and, most of all, asks us all to reflect on our own families and the
ways that we either fulfill or neglect our duties towards them. With
